Houston, Texas – I the secret to the copier business is to find a niche, then Pete Peterson has found his in scouring for out-of stock parts for copiers.

     Peterson, who founded Professional Copier Service in 1985, has seen its size triple in the past decade, with copiers cramming most of the warehouse in the back.  The business is now 5,000 square feet. Peterson says he will likely get more space when the lease is up in a few years.

People call for spare parts; people call for supplies; we recharge the catridges, and (work on) the laser printers, small copiers and some fax machines.   We sell all the consumer items — the rollers, the blades – and all the circuitry, the circuit boards and the gears."

     PCS recycles all of the aluminum and metal that comes off the equipment, in addition to stripping down the machines for parts, labeling  the parts, then entering the inventory of parts onto computer.  He uses Office Machine Dealer sofware to run the various functions of the office.

     The business first started with copoiers then moved to fax machines and laser printers.  Later it moved to computers and then parts, including parts for machines that have been discontinued.

     "It's a very versatile, service-oeriented business, " Peterson said.  And one is which everything is under one roof.

     "It's a whole package combined.  If someone has an office where he utilizes a copier, a fax, a laser printer, typewriters and computers, he can call one company that services all different makes and models -  not just one brand of those different types of equipment, but all different types of office equipment.

At the same time the price and public clamor for Facebook's blockbuster IPO is rising, experts' expectations for the company's performance are in decline.

Houston, Texas – I the secret to the copier business is to find a niche, then Pete Peterson has found his in scouring for out-of stock parts for copiers.

     Peterson, who founded Professional Copier Service in 1985, has seen its size triple in the past decade, with copiers cramming most of the warehouse in the back.  The business is now 5,000 square feet. Peterson says he will likely get more space when the lease is up in a few years.

People call for spare parts; people call for supplies; we recharge the catridges, and (work on) the laser printers, small copiers and some fax machines.   We sell all the consumer items — the rollers, the blades – and all the circuitry, the circuit boards and the gears."

     PCS recycles all of the aluminum and metal that comes off the equipment, in addition to stripping down the machines for parts, labeling  the parts, then entering the inventory of parts onto computer.  He uses Office Machine Dealer sofware to run the various functions of the office.

     The business first started with copoiers then moved to fax machines and laser printers.  Later it moved to computers and then parts, including parts for machines that have been discontinued.

     "It's a very versatile, service-oeriented business, " Peterson said.  And one is which everything is under one roof.

     "It's a whole package combined.  If someone has an office where he utilizes a copier, a fax, a laser printer, typewriters and computers, he can call one company that services all different makes and models -  not just one brand of those different types of equipment, but all different types of office equipment.
